This I-35 has all the great qualities we've come to expect from Collings's flagship electric. It's been finished in a gorgeous Aged Jet Black top with Walnut back and sides, for what's become quite the devastating Collings aesthetic. It looks awesome and has a great vintage vibe! Every time we pick up and I-35LC we're reminded why this remains one of our best selling electric models year in and year out. It's incredibly versatile, comfortable, and easy to play.
Plugged in, the Throbak SLE101+ humbuckers deliver classic ES-335 tones with a bump in output that fattens up the response and voice. Similar to a Les Paul, but more complex and open sounding. Depending on your technique and rig, you can pull Fender-like twang, classic Gibson overdriven tones, or warm, smokey Jazz tones out of these guitars. Semi-hollows have earned their reputation for being extremely versatile for a reason. This is a wonderful guitar and a stunning reimagining of this classic Gibson shape.
Condition: Brand New. Fully inspected and set up by TME staff before it ships or leaves the showroom.
