A flexible, articulate dual overdrive built around dynamics and clarity, with enough range to cover far more ground than its origin story suggests.

The Limelight is a dual-channel overdrive developed in collaboration with Touché Amoré guitarists Nick Steinhardt and Clayton Stevens. Built around their need for clarity, dynamics, and control, it’s designed to move easily between clean passages and heavier, more urgent textures without losing definition.

The circuit started as a clean slate: an op-amp–based overdrive that leans toward the “breaker” family but pushes well beyond it. The gain structure was reworked for improved articulation and a wider usable range, keeping individual notes intact even as things get more aggressive.

Alongside the overdrive is an independent front-end boost, which can add body and presence to clean tones or drive the overdrive channel further when you need more push.

Originally created alongside the band’s Lament sessions, the Limelight quickly proved versatile enough to live outside that context. It’s equally comfortable as a low-gain foundation, a responsive mid-gain drive, or a stacked, higher-gain setup - making it easy to integrate into a wide range of rigs and playing styles.


Controls

Boost
adjusts the Boost channel from 0dB to +21dB of clean gain when turned clockwise.
Gain
Simultaneous control of two gain stages with a natural midrange boost as you turn it clockwise. Achieves approximately 50dB at the maximum setting.
Tone
Adjustable low pass filter turn clockwise for more treble and counterclockwise for less.
Volume
Output level control turn clockwise for more volume.
Focus
Variable low cut in the drive section adjusts the amount of chime and midrange presence.
Left footswitch
Engages drive circuit
Right footswitch
Engages boost circuit
