This Custom Shop ’55 Tele, finished in a beautifully executed Series Super Aged Sonic Blue, is a perfect example of what the Fender Custom Shop does so well - capturing vintage character while delivering modern, effortless playability and build quality. The two-piece ash body is lightweight and lively, with a finish that feels comfortably broken-in without crossing into overdone territory.

The quartersawn maple neck features one of our favorite profiles, a super comfortable 10/56 V (.89–.98") - substantial in hand, but never cumbersome or bulky. Paired with narrow tall (6105) frets on the maple fingerboard, it offers an easy, articulate feel whether you’re bending up top or digging into first-position chords. Plugged in, the hand-wound ’55/’56 pickups deliver everything you’d hope for from a great Tele: crisp, snappy highs, full and rounded lows, and that unmistakable midrange sparkle. The bridge pickup has all the bite and authority you need for cutting lead work, while rolling back the tone control reveals a smoother, more nuanced voice. It’s dynamic, responsive, and deeply musical.
