Retrograde Lexington Proto #2 Translucent White (USED, 2020)

This custom-ordered "SB #2" represents Glenn's earliest iteration of what became the Lexington model, a TME exclusive that has found continued success here since 2021. With the exception of the GFS Gold Foil pickups, this prototype build remains quite true to the official Lexington model. A solid pine body with maple top along with a bolt-on roasted maple neck and grenadillo fingerboard, this guitar has a distinct clarity and acoustic-like response with a snappy fundamental.
The Translucent White finish is very thinly applied, and already shows some natural wear-through on the forearm area, revealing a bit of figure in that maple top. Glenn adds a touch of this finish on the back of the peghead as well, adding a nice bit of contrast that also supports his signature in between the tuners. The guitar was originally outfitted with a mult-ply pearloid pickguard and matching truss rod cover, but Glenn included a nice tortoise celluloid set should the next owner decide to change up the aesthetic. Both look right at home on this guitar, so take your pick!
After over 5 years of ownership, this beauty finds its way to our shop with Glenn here as part of our amazing repair staff! Glenn personally went back through this guitar and gave it some nice TLC, dialing in the setup, cleaning up the frets, and making it play like new again.
We don't often get our hands on Retrogrades once they leave the shop, and this was a welcome surprise as any to have a special build like this one resurface.

Every instrument is thoroughly checked and set up before shipping fully insured via UPS with tracking to your door. We reuse boxes and materials to cut waste when they meet our protection standard.
Inspect it, play it, and if it isn't right, contact us within 48 hours of delivery to arrange a return or one-time exchange. Returns are subject to a 5% restocking fee, and the buyer covers shipping both ways.
