Description

Michael DeTemple's guitars are considered by many to be some of the best Fender-style guitars you can get. Having worked for the likes of Dylan, Clapton, Neil Young, Ron Wood, Pete Townshend in both the studio and on stage, in addition to doing film score work, Michael clearly knows what a great guitar should (and needs) to be.

This is a very resonant, lively, snappy sounding guitar played acoustically. Tons of sustain and punch are present and certainly reveal themselves when plugged in. There's a depth to this S-style guitar that we haven't experienced in other S's. Great bass response and overall power. It's literally something you can just feel in the guitar.

We're especially in love with the wiring on this guitar - the lower of the tone knobs is a push/push pot which adds the neck pickup to wherever you happen to be on the 5-way switch. For example, when using the very Tele-like bridge position, you can tap that tone pot to engage the neck pickup as well, a la a Tele's middle position on its 3-way switch. Essentially, you end up with the ability to get Tele-style pickup combinations as well as the classic Strat combinations.

Condition: Excellent with only light signs of previous ownership present - light finish swirls and superficial finish scratches scattered on the body, and very faint fret wear (barely there).
