Here's a lovely pre-owned Santa Cruz Custom Style 1 with a Redwood top and Indian rosewood back and sides. The Style 1 hearkens back to late 19th century parlor guitars where the quality of the tone took precedent over the size of the sound. Players were literally performing in parlors where the sweetness and clarity of the tone was paramount. Only decades later did the need to fill larger venues necessitate larger, fuller-sounding guitar sizes. Given that many of us are playing at home--in our parlors--smaller guitars have made a resurgence. This Style 1 has a very sweet, woody, intimate tonal quality ideally suited to fingerstyle, whether it be blues, celtic, classical, or contemporaary. The condition is excellent.
