Can this Santa Cruz dreadnought really be 30 years old? Koa this beautiful would be an enormous upcharge in today's market; and for anyone in the market for a boutique dreadnought should give this guitar special consideration. Tonally, Koa is close to Mahogany (read: dry, woody, not a dense series of overtones). This is a lovely-sounding instrument that straddles the line between Rosewood and Mahogany (with its style-28 body appointments, even more so); and it'd be a great choice for anyone who's had big-name instruments in the past and longed for that little something more you get with a boutique-level guitar.

Condition: on any 30-year old guitar, one can expect a few signs of normal use. And this guitar does show one noticeable top ding alongside several minor pick scrapes. The back and neck are remarkably clean. Our shop has just performed a neck reset, fret polish, and full setup; and the guitar needs no other work at this time. On consignment; shipping calculated at checkout.
