This 1946 Martin 000-28 is in exceptional condition for a vintage guitar. It shows evidence of a neck reset & refret, along with overspray on the back of the neck. And aside from replacement bridge pins, it's original where it counts: the body shows no cracks and extremely clean finish, aside from some fingernail wear in the area between the bridge and pickguard, and all interior components are original and very clean. Martins from 1946, with their non-scalloped, tapered braces are typically characterized by a woody, penetrating sound. This 000-28 is no exception to the rule, and its Brazilian Rosewood back & sides add warmth and thickness to the low midrange, making it an excellent small-bodied rhythm guitar. Instead of waxing poetic about the tone any longer, we'll refer you to the video of Jordan Tice playing the guitar below. Enjoy!

In addition to its wonderful sound, this is a highly collectible 000-28: its original hardshell case and the original owner's purchase paperwork are included! All specs, parts, and hardware are standard for the model & era, including Brazilian Rosewood back & sides, Spruce top, Mahogany neck, Ebony bridge & fingerboard, 1 11/16" nut width, 24.9" scale length, and 2 1/8" string spacing.
