An interesting twist on the Kamaka tenor uke, the HF-36 offers a different voice for the player looking to expand the boundaries of their uke playing. Typically the C and A strings are doubled, and in this case they are both strung in octaves, with the A strings in reverse order of the C strings, creating a new sonic landscape. The design follows traditional Kamaka construction and appearance. All koa body and headstock overlay, rosewood finger board and bridge, open back tuners with snakewood tuning buttons. From Kamaka: "Also known as "the Liliu," the Tenor 6-String was designed by Sam Kamaka Jr. in 1959 to commemorate Hawaii's statehood and pay tribute to Hawaii's last reigning monarch, Queen Liliuokalani. In 1978, a Liliu was presented to the White House as Hawaii's Regional gift."

Condition: This instrument remains in excellent condition, with only faint signs of prior ownership.
