For serial number 700, Iris Guitars pulled some special tonewood from their lockers and made this lovely-sounding MS-00 (their version of an L-00 body). The back and sides are gorgeous "Plum Pudding" figured Mahogany, the top is reclaimed Redwood, and the fingerboard and bridge are Snakewood. The sound is very warm and focused -- it'd be an excellent choice for a fingerstyle player who employs a relaxed right hand and wants maximum roundness of note without sacrificing projection.
Condition? There's not much to say. This thing is clean! It may have been played a handful of times, but it could pass for new old stock. The setup remains unaltered and excellent; and the guitar is priced with its original hard case.
