Famous 7 string players include jazz wizard George Van Eps, the ever amazing Charlie Hunter, Bucky Pizzarelli, Steve Vai and many others. Point being, adding a low B (or A) to your vocabulary can radically change your playing.

Alright friends, we can say with certainty - this guitar is not one you're going to see everyday, or, ever again for that matter. This is a one-of-a-kind '58 Burst replica - 7 string - made by Johan Gustavsson, one of the most revered builders in the world, originally built for session ace and guitar designer mad genius, Matte Henderson.

Johan's guitars have been sought-after for over a decade, notably his Bluesmaster model, and his attention to detail, finish work, and accuracy are well established and certainly on display with this gorgeous replica (Johan was tapped by legendary LP replica builder known as "MAX" to finish a few of his burst replicas).

Old growth woods, Brazilian fingerboard, red maple top, real 50s Gibson knobs...it's all here. Toss in a Gene Baker (b3 Guitars) designed/made bridge and tailpiece and a set of custom Gil Yaron-wound humbuckers and you've got one hell of a formidable guitar.

So, the elephant in the room? 7 string?!

Yep. In all honestly, we love 7 strings but don't love that they're typically geared towards metal when it comes readily available models. Don't get us wrong, we're metal heads too (being serious), but we don't always want to reach for the style of guitar just to get the added low range a 7 affords. That's where this Gustavsson becomes even more mind-bending. It's an incredibly well done Burst replica, as good as any we've encountered....just in a 7 string format. Amazing.
