This is the kind of instrument that makes you want to play more - it pulls music out of you. New songs, new riffs, new licks...whatever gets you excited about playing, this guitar seems to cut right to the chase and pulls that out of you.

Featuring a 1-piece hollowed out Honduran mahogany body and mahogany neck, this Mendocino is incredibly lightweight (5lbs 3oz), balanced, and very alive and resonant (like all Grez guitars). It's beautifully made, has a chunky, late-50's-meets-early 60s Gibson-esq carve with a slinky overall feel.

The Gabojo Labs pickups were new to us (they're based in Greece) but we were not disappointed - they sound amazing in this guitar, delivering open, airy, killer chime - think Gretsch Duo Jet-meets-humbucker tones. It's easy pull Gretsch-like chime from it - with elements of a great ES-335 mixed in (the design goal of the Mendocino model). With some gain? Classic low-fi swampiness that's incredibly fun and inspiring.

An outstanding guitar that offers a new spin on the award-winning Mendocino (and who can deny the Collings Julian Lage 470 vibes, right?).
