The HG-00 was the 12-fret Hawaiian version of the more popular L-00. Same body shape but with a wide 1 7/8" nut width, no truss rod in the neck, and a slightly "heavier" bracing. You wouldn't know it by hearing it though. It's still much lighter than most modern Gibson and throws a lot of sound for such a small guitar, with that woody, round treble players covet. The neck has a very pronounced V profile but still not as chunky as Gibson from the early 40's. Makes a great slide guitar as well!

The condition is quite good with the usual amount of finish crazing and checking. The neck was reset as part of the conversion from Hawaiian and one can see some evidence of that in the finish near the neck joint. Action is good with some saddle height still available above the bridge. Comes with a Canadian-made black Calton case.
