Lovely Collings MF5 just in! We don't see too many of these in a natural finish, but one look at the highly figured maple back and sides on this mandolin makes clear why the folks at Collings chose to highlight the natural beauty of this set of woods. With an optional wider nut and rounded V neck profile, this MF5 has all the playability and superb fit and finish we've come to expect from Collings, with plenty of bell-like chime and clarity to match. Aside from a custom pickguard installed by luthier Andrew Mowry and a K&K pickup, this mandolin is all original and in very good condition. There is some very light fret-wear on the first few frets, as well as one pick scrape that is largely concealed by the pickguard - please see photos!
