We're always happy to have one of John Slobod's guitars in the shop; and this 2017 OM is the first such Mahogany-backed instrument we've seen in quite some time. To say this guitar rocketed to the top of the shop favorite list when we acquired it would be an understatement: it's the current flattop on display in our back office, where staff members can grab it and play during fleeting free moments. Why is that? Well, it's simply a joy to sit with -- super-light, responsive as a vintage guitar, and great-sounding. The voice is unencumbered -- wide-open and clear, producing beautiful, round-sounding notes from every area of the fretboard. And it's not a timid guitar either: digging in with a flatpick reveals an almost dreadnought-sized power.

Condition: this is a very clean guitar, as our photos show, but bear in mind that it's been the original owner's daily player for seven years and shows mild signs of handling. The finish is extremely thin, and shows small areas of pebbling, though these are only noticeable under reflected light. The back shows a couple small areas of dull finish, which are consistent with regular use. The EVO frets are clean, as is the fingerboard. In all? We'd call its general condition 'excellent minus,' since all the handling wear is either a natural byproduct of age or visible only with a light source. Priced with its original Ameritage hard case. Please call us if you'd like an in-hand description!

Pre-Owned Instruments | Have Questions?
We take great care in accepting only the highest quality pre-owned instruments for resale in our shop, then carefully photograph and describe each instrument to ensure what you see on our site is exactly what you'll receive. Many of these instruments carry subtle signs of handling that can escape even the most discerning eye, so if you have questions about the condition of this instrument, we invite you to call us for an in-hand description. We're always happy to help!
