While luthier Laurent Brondel isn't as widely recognized for his pre-war Martin style guitars as he is his own modern creations, we at TME aim to change that! \

The OM-18s we received from Brondel have danced out the door in record time; and we've finally got an OM-28 to use as a point of comparison. "The 28" is Brondel's take on an early 30's model of the same designation, but features a couple of his signature touches as well (carbon fiber neck reinforcements, oil varnish finish).

The sound is as warm and rich as you could hope for in a new guitar -- and with setup work and playability this excellent, it's the kind of guitar you could easily get lost in for hours at a time.

While OMs won't knock you over with bass response, this guitar reminds us what's great about them -- the balance, the shimmery articulation, and the note to note clarity whether fingerpicked or flatpicked. A great guitar, and one that any of us here at TME would be happy to own!
