1999 PRS Custom 24 in original Violin Amber Burst finish with a gorgeous 10 Top!

There's just something about earlier PRSi that we find relate to the likes of older Gibsons and Fenders - a certain feel and tone that made these guitars really stand out in the crowd upon their debut. They do their own thing of course, but the construction, wood combinations, and the overall response of the guitar has some of that vintage familiarity laced into their DNA.

You can understand the longstanding success of the HFS/VB pickup combination in this Custom 24 - the pickups are very complimentary with great output that isn't too hot or aggressive sounding, yet these guitars seem to reach well into heavier rock contexts with ease.

The neck carve feels like it sits right between the Pattern Thin and Pattern Regular profiles - slim but not too thin or flat feeling in the palm. Super comfortable and speedy, allowing for lots of quick transitions between rhythm and lead playing.

Overall condition is great, with a few dings here and there (most notably on the rear treble side horn). Frets are great shape and setup is set medium-low for easy playing. The original strap buttons have been swapped for strap locks, and the tuner buttons replaced with ebony buttons.
