This 1957 Martin D-21 is fantastic sounding guitar for a flatpicker who values the punch and volume inherent in a post-1955 dreadnought. The D-21, we'd argue, offers the best of both worlds: Brazilian Rosewood back and sides for extra muscle when playing rhythm, and the more austere look of a style-18 guitar. This D-21 has been recently serviced by our friend, Pat DiBurro, of Exeter, NH, who reset the neck, installed new frets, and made a new Brazilian Rosewood bridge. As you'd imagine if you know Pat's work, the setup is now top-notch (perfectly at 3/32" at the 12th fret) and the guitar should be healthy and stable for a long time to come. New tuners have been installed, and a B-string crack has been repaired. There was a pickup in the guitar at one point, and a 1/4" output jack remains installed. Priced with contemporary hard case.
