This 1929 Martin 00-18 is a huge-sounding & super-responsive guitar, with the warm, clear tone prized in a pre-war Mahogany-backed Martin flattop. Guitars from the late 1920's can be overlooked as flatpickers -- especially those from 1928 & 1929 featuring rectangular bridges. You'd guess that this is an amazing fingerstyle guitar; and you'd guess right. But for anyone aside from the most heavy-handed player out there, it's a sublimely thick & meaty sounding guitar when played with a precise flatpick attack. This guitar is original, except for a well-made replica bridge and a re-fret. There's a well-repaired crack near the end wedge, but the instrument is otherwise very clean. Priced with contemporary Martin hard case.
