Here we have a fine example of an early 60s Hoboken-made Guild A-50 Archtop. This particular guitar features a quite sought after vintage Dearmond-made Guild Artist Award single coil pickup. It has all the standard features of the era, including the earlier open-book headstock shape, unbound rosewood fingerboard with mahogany neck, nitrocellulose finished all maple laminate body, Guild harp tailpiece, and strip tuners.

The guitar plays great with nice low action. There is minor wear throughout- some surface dings and scratches, but nothing substantial or alarming for a guitar of this vintage. The headstock veneer has partially lifted on the top right corner, which is a common ailment of vintage Guilds, but it is not extreme and looks to be fairly stable.

These guitars were made to rival the Gibson L-48 and ES-125 models of their day, and have since become excellent options for players looking for an American made vintage guitar at a friendly price.

Price includes non-original vintage hardshell case and Dearmond pickup cable.
