With its compact and fully carved solid wood hollowbody construction and paired with Classic '57 humbuckers, Gibson's Pat Martino Signature model brings a unique style and tone to the table where jazz, blues, and rock are all well within reach.

What To Know

Guitar legend Pat Martino started his professional career at age 15 and has never looked back. A leader for Prestige by age 20, Martino became one of the most influential guitarists of his generation, working alongside iconic performers like Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, and Richard 'Groove' Holmes. When brain surgery almost ended his career in 1980, Martino taught himself to play again from scratch, earning the admiration of fans, peers and critics alike.

The Gibson Pat Martino Custom was designed to the specs of its namesake, with a single cutaway, contoured mahogany back, solid tiger flame maple top, and twin f-holes. The successor to Gibson's innovative Paul Jackson Jr. model, the Pat Martino Custom has a hollowed mahogany body offering greater sustain and feedback resistance, yet distinctly lighter in weight than conventional solid bodies. The contoured 'snakehead' style peghead permits straight string pull across the nut, and the deep cutaway allows full access to the compound radius 22 fret fingerboard.

This gleaming example is in excellent condition. The previous owner auditioned another set of pickups at one time, but it has since been returned to stock formation. It shows only light signs of use and home play wear. A highly versatile instrument for the working performer, and a fitting tribute to a true modern Guitar Hero.
