One of the more affordable twin pickup hollowbodies in the vintage market is Gibson's second generation ES-125. The adapation of the thinline design initially found in the ES-225 model and then with the ES-330/Casino, the ES-125 has a stripped down aesthetic with classic P90 Gibson tone.

This is a very nice mid 60s example that looks like it had spent decades stored in its original case. It's an exceptionally clean guitar, with only a recent pro refret to mark any changes. The original P90s sound excellent, with a healthy amount of output that allows for some nice Americana or Roots-Rock tones just as it does Blues and Jazz.

The neck has a nice slim/medium C profile with a slightly chunkier taper - fairly common for the era. Due to the more substantial taper, the narrower 1 9/16" nut feels a bit more comfortable, especially up the neck.

Lightweight, balanced, and resonant - even with a Bigsby B6 tailpiece - this is a great sounding and playing ES-125!
