Description

Gibson Custom has been building some exceptional Les Pauls over the years, and this 2015 G0/R0 shows just how great these Historic-spec guitars can be.

A model built exclusively for Guitar Center, this G0 shares the exact same platform as the more common R0 - 1960 specs featuring a slimmer neck profile, dark cherry sunburst flamed maple top, and reflector knobs. The G0 comes outfitted with a pair of Gibson Custom Buckers with Alnico III magnets, which are designed to achieve a lower-output PAF style tone. Great chimey cleans with a nice musical compression make it perfect for early blues, motown, and jazz. Don't discount these pickups with some gain though! The lower output results in a nice bright, chirpy attack that has great top end definition and snarl.

This particular LP is incredibly lightweight, coming in just a touch over 8lbs on our shop scale. The finish is well-executed and highlights the beautiful grain structure of both the maple top and the mahogany body.

If you're in the market for a quality historic-spec LP with a fast neck and vintage-correct tone, don't pass this one by!

Condition: Near Mint. Very minimally played and handled. Includes Gibson COA.
