Though this limited run 70th Anniversary Fender Esquire isn't a Custom Shop build, we have to say it's darned close in quality, feel, tone, and overall vibe. We're tempted to just leave it at - if you're looking for a really, really good T-style that embodies all that is great in a classic, vintage-styled T, this is your guitar.

The very first solid-body electric guitar offered by Fender in 1950 was the Esquire. With an elegant single-cutaway silhouette, adjustable 3-saddle bridge and a lone, repurposed lap-steel pickup in the bridge position – the Esquire laid the groundwork for all solidbody electric guitars to follow and foreshadowed its more famous sibling, the Telecaster.

7 1/4" radius, maple neck w/comfy-but-fat "U" carve, Roasted Pine body, Tim Shaw-designed Esquire bridge pickup? Check. No frills, no modernizations, no need. Leo got it right in 1950 with this time-honored design.

As we mentioned earlier, this is a fantastic, highly resonant, killer sounding T-style guitar. Translation: you want this. Trust us. Priced with hardshell case.

Please note: We're using our in-house stock photos of this model. The grain on the maple neck may look a little different on the guitar you purchase.
