Description

This player's grade 2000 Collings OM2H pairs the standard Indian rosewood back and sides with an Engelmann spruce top. One of the softer spruces, Engelmann is even more responsive to a light attack than the more common Sitka. Each note blooms with overtones, for a tone that is beautifully warm and nuanced. (The thinner finish work of that era of Collings guitars certainly contributes to that, too.) Overall, this is an excellent guitar for the player who primarily plays fingerstyle, or has a lighter touch with a flatpick.

As we stated up top, this guitar is "player's grade". They're hard to photograph, but there are numerous cosmetic nicks on the body, light pick lines, and some wear on the neck. That said, they're easy to forget about once you start playing. If you're looking for some serious played-in tone and want an instrument you don't have to be too precious with - give this one a good look. Priced with hard case.
