Ronin Guitars have cemented their status in the modern guitar world as one of the best to incorporate traditional building techniques and inspiration with modern, forward-thinking designs and a fresh sonic palette that is unique to the brand. Their groundbreaking Mirari model set the stage for what became one of the coolest looking and sounding bolt-neck electrics to come out of the boutique guitar world in the 21st century.

The Morningstar model is in some ways the progression of the Mirari body design into more of a Strat-style concept. Three custom-made Foilbucker Mini pickups set into a Mint Green guard with a more traditional Strat control layout feels quite familiar, yet tonally brings forth something different.

These proprietary pickups have a distinct upper midrange and top end response - clean tones are shimmery and well-defined with a bit of an airier feel to them. Paired up with some overdrive or a fuzz, they maintain clarity and dynamic response that allows the guitar to cut through a mix with ease.

One great feature of this build is the Magic Button (stay with us!). A clever name for Ronin's use of a piezo pickup mounted in the bridge cavity. Activating it with the push button brings some very interesting tones into the fold!

Condition
Both the body and the neck feature factory finish checking/dings/wear. As an aged guitar additional play wear is virtually indistinguishable except for some tarnishing on the hardware and light pick wear around the pickups. Very little fretwear found. The guitar is set up nicely with medium-low action and a slight float to the bridge.
