"Refined elegance in a playful and modern style" is one of the ways we describe the Firestar. Drawing inspiration from Golden Era offset guitar designs, the Firestar marries that slender silhouette with sleek contouring that gives it its own vibe. The forearm carve in particular - how the bevel catches the angle of the bass side cutaway - is a testament to the keen and artistic eye that Frank Deimel has exhibited for years with his instruments.

Offset players have long known that you can conjure some pretty interesting and cool tones by plucking the strings behind the bridge - think Sonic Youth, Nels Cline, etc... In a very, why didn't I think of this! way, Deimel offers the option of putting a pickup right behind the bridge for the sonically adventurous to explore.

Built In LesLee®

The Pickup LesLee is one of the coolest pieces of analog technology we've encountered in some time. The LesLee utilizes your bridge and neck pickups to generate a distinct percussive tremo-vibe sound simply by auto-alternating the pickup signals. We first discovered the LesLee on Deimel guitars.

Kill Switch

If you're like us, you first learned how great a kill switch can sound via players like Johnny Greenwood and Tom Morello. The quick on/off stutter can create some great rhythmic effect, especially when paired with effect pedals.

Built In Piezo

Putting a piezo pickup in unexpected places on a guitar's body, or headstock, allows players to fold in haunting overtones to their core sound. It's a very cool effect.
