We’ve conceptualized the next generation of the famed Sputnik II: Deluxe Germanium Fuzz, with refined and expanded FILTER / BASS settings, plus a smaller footprint with top mounted jacks. A new Transformer Bypass feature allows you to choose the looser, wider and wilder experience of the Sputnik I; or the more focused sound and feel of the Sputnik II and III (+ more friendly with other pedals). This is the ultimate version of the Sputnik circuit.

Characteristic of germanium fuzzes, all of the controls are quite interactive and a shockingly wide variety of sounds can be observed with experimentation. RANGE controls the gain of the fuzz, while the BASS toggle switch allows for three levels of bass response: (•) Original; (+) More; and the new (-) Less bass. The FILTER switch selects between three different voices for the CALIBRATE control, which adjusts the tone with an uncommon sweep.

The footswitch actuated DRIFT mode adds a level of corruption to the otherwise mild-mannered Sputnik IIb, resulting in oscillation, pseudo-octaves, 8-bit artifacts and more. Adding a layer of control to this double personality is the SCAN control, which acts a squelch control to either tame or unleash the wild unpredictability of the Drift mode.
