We are proud to offer this marvelous A-style mandolin by famed luthier John Monteleone. John's work is sprawling, and he is considered one of the fathers of modern mandolin building. Although widely recognized for his aesthetic and tonal departures, this early rendition retains more of the traditional tonal qualities from his work restoring Loar-era instruments. The sound is bright and powerful, with a dry chop capable of cutting through any mix. With more than thirty years under its belt, this mandolin has seen its fair share of play, but shows no signs of abuse. John's instruments are a part of history - this one would fit in with any collection, or make a perfect one and only for the most discerning player. Includes a Superior hardshell case.
