Looks like you might have to arm wrestle one of us here for first rights to this 1999 Gibson Custom Historic '59 ES-335.
This 23 year old beauty has aged gracefully and honestly feels a little closer to a late 50s ES-335 than a late 90s one. The original lacquer has started to check and fade, giving the Tobacco Sunburst finish a beautiful lustre. The original nickel plated hardware has developed a nice soft patina as well. It's got an exceptional playing neck with the help of a recent pro refret, and also features a push-pull phase toggle via the bridge pickup's tone control to go along with the original Classic '57 humbuckers.
Gibson created some truly fantastic guitars in the early days of the Custom Shop, and it certainly doesn't go unnoticed by us here at TME. This is one of the better values in a used semi-hollow electric on the market. Get it while you can, as this one isn't sure to last!
Condition: Very Good. This spent many years in the hand of a pro player and has its share of typical play year - various dings, scratches, and scuffs throughout. Playability and setup is great. No repairs or structural issues.
