Based on the lovely sound of the D1 Koa Matt Arcara made us last year, we ordered this OM1 -- made with a gorgeous set of old-growth Koa sourced from ukulele guru Joel Eckhaus. This is very lightweight guitar, with that clear, syrupy sound that seems consistent across fine Koa guitars. Plenty of articulation and punch, with a more three-dimensional shimmer than a comparable Mahogany guitar. It's a beautiful fingerstyle guitar, sure, but don't be afraid to let loose on it with a flatpick. It really sings, with clarity and balance in all registers. Priced with TKL hard case.
