Description

Yet again, one of Laurent Brondel's fine guitars has stolen the heart of everyone here at TME. When it comes to looks, Brondels are the epitome of understated elegance. Classic OM looks at first glance, on deeper inspection your eye catches the fine line detailing of the rosette, purfling and backstrip. Beyond that, though, your focus will be on just one thing: this guitar's warm, articulate tone and its delightful playability. Madagascar rosewood back and sides contribute to a rich, complex voice that responds to the lightest touch, while its pianistic, clean note separation could be attributed to the German spruce top. Like all of his guitars, the top and back are arched rather than radiused, which allows for an instrument that is more lightly built and optimized for tone, yet no less resilient. All specs aside, though - this is just a beautifully responsive, well-balanced guitar. Fingerpicked or flatpicked, lightly strummed or dug into with a heavy attack, this is one of those guitars that will inspire you to play for hours. This 2012 model remains in excellent condition, and is priced with a Hoffee carbon fiber case.
