Koentopp Chicagoan (2015)

We're excited to have a "Chicagoan" from luthier Danny Koentopp in the shop for consignment! If you follow the boutique archtop world, you likely know that a pre-owned Koentopp is a very rare commodity; and one with an oval-hole construction may be the rarest of them all. This guitar is in near-mint condition, with only the faintest signs of having ever been played. Hand-carved spruce top and figured maple body, with X-bracing produce the warm, deep sound fans of old Gibsons will adore -- but these guitar has punch enough to cut through the mix in a modern jazz ensemble. We could wax on for days about how great this guitar sounds -- it's truly one of the best archtops we've ever had -- but you can also listen to Eduardo Mercuri play it over at the video tab. Priced with Hoffee carbon fiber hard case.

On consignment. Expedited shipping only at online checkout -- please contact us for ground options.
