We are excited to host a few of Johann Brentrup's personal mandolins here on consignment. The F5C is a traditional Loar copy based on measurements taken from several originals. Only twelve were produced at the end of his building career, and this is the last of the bunch. The distressing is subtle, authentic and true to what a one hundred year old instrument might feel like if it had been played, but loved. The sound consists of growling lows, snappy highs, and a noticeable amount of power when digging in that keeps giving the harder it's played. This instrument is one of the finest examples of what Hans was capable of in his building, and exhibits a level of craftsmanship present in only the finest mandolins. Priced with original hardshell case.
