Description

Exceptional sounding Gilchrist Model 1 just in on consignment. Steve's mandolins are some of the most sought after in the industry, and his rendition of the pre war Gibson snakehead offers a new level of refinement to an old world design. Though understated in appearance, a closer inspection reveals sleek perfection only present in world class instruments. The mid range is punchy and powerful when played aggressively, but becomes sweet and bell like with a lighter touch. Excellent condition with little discernible wear that doesn't extend past a dew light pick marks here and there. The fretwork, neck angle, and action are perfect with room to move up or down on the bridge. Priced with a Calton case.
