Description

It is hard to imagine a louder, clearer, better-built mandolin anywhere in this price range than the Collings MT2. Although the elegance of an F-style mandolin is hard to overlook, there is something magical about a well-crafted A that make them hard to pass up. As always, Collings is using superb materials on these instruments -- flamed maple back, select aged Adirondack spruce tops with tone-bar bracing, all carved to exacting standards. Even the adjustable ebony bridges are crafted at the Collings shop, as is the tailpiece (Bill's own design). And speaking of Bill's designs ... all MT2s are now priced with a Collings-built vintage-style hard case.
