Description

Beautiful 1966 ES-175 just in!

This guitar has such a wonderful vibe, you sense it from the moment you pick it up. It seems to have a bit more 50s DNA in it than other 60s 175's we've had. It's more alive and less clunky and heavy than others we've had pass through the shop to be sure.

Playability is excellent and it's currently strung low and comfortable with flat-wounds. The nut width is 1 9/16ths which is typical for this era of Gibson. While narrower than some prefer, we didn't find this to be an issue at all. Part of that is due to the slim-but-comfortable neck carve which has a lot to do with how nut width is perceived while playing.

We had a blast playing this guitar acoustically - this is where the 50s DNA reveals itself. Given these guitars were made to be played amplified, some can be a little dead sounding/feeling acoustically - not so on this beauty. Plugged in, it has a smooth, open voice which we found really inspiring.

As you can probably tell, we're really loving this mid-60s classic and are confident you will as well! Priced with hardshell case.

On consignment, no trades please.
