Koll Duo Glide Silverburst (2004)

"I didn't want to make Telecasters or Stratocasters or Les Paul copies, I wanted to do my own thing. Because these are original shapes, I had the flexibility to do anything I wanted." -Saul Koll

The early 2000's were a special period for Koll Guitars, as Saul was devoting himself full-time to making instruments and experimenting with materials and process. Some very special guitars came out of this era, and this is definitely one of them.

This guitar has been played over the years and shows some basic play wear. The pickup covers show scratching and finish wear, and there are various small finish cracks and scratches here and there, but certainly nothing major.

The semi-hollow alder body translates into a super lightweight guitar (6lbs 7oz) that's both resonant and versatile tonally. It can scream with its potent pair of Lollar humbuckers, but can also sound very dark and warm if desired. Koll fans may remember this guitar being played by Mary Timony last year. She was using it while Koll was making her custom build.

Like all Koll's we've had, this guitar has vibe for days. Just a blast to play, extremely musical, and looks killer to boot! Priced with a original TKL case, new Koll strap, and case candy.
