Description

"Every day we try to make a better guitar, every day. You're trying to reach for more, trying to do better, not trying to do the same. A lot of companies are trying to do the same, and that's okay - that's their deal. We're trying to stretch that. Our goal is a little more." - Bill Collings

Stunning quilt-topped City Limits Deluxe just in!

As we've come to expect with Collings guitars, the build quality is off the charts great - dare we say, flawless. These instruments are built by an extremely dedicated team in Austin, TX and the pride and care they take with each guitar is immediately evident. Far from a rehashed Les Paul, the City Limits elevates this legendary style to a far more elegant and refined place - as evidenced by the gorgeous looks.

Something we noticed immediately with this particular City Limits was its 60s-esq neck carve. Normally these guitars are closer to a chunkier 59 carve, and while not "officially" a 60s carve (something Collings offers), it feels darned close to that. If you've been looking for a Collings with a 60s neck, definitely check this one out.

The tones are glorious and the playability doesn't get any better. Beautiful, clear cleans coupled with sweet, midrange-drenched overdriven tones...the combo of a Collings build and Throbak's phenomenal sounding ER-MXV pickups ensures you can easily cover a lot of ground.

Many have claimed the City Limits to be one of the best guitars they've played. Indeed, this City Limits could easily end your search for the perfect set-neck / humbucker guitar. Priced with hardshell case.
