Collings SoCo 16LC Blonde (2012)

"Every day we try to make a better guitar, every day. You're trying to reach for more, trying to do better, not trying to do the same. A lot of companies are trying to do the same, and that's okay - that's their deal. We're trying to stretch that. Our goal is a little more." - Bill Collings

This Collings SoCo 16LC give a serious nod to Gibson's legendary archtops by utilizing a 16" body vs the SoCo's typical 15" body. Unlike a Gibson ES-175, this SoCo 16LC is much easier to play thanks to its shallow body and higher build quality, but would be right at home in any setting you'd want a 175.

The lower output Lollar humbuckers deliver clear, articulate tones and excel at both clean and overdriven tones. They compress ever so slightly when pushed which makes lead playing really enjoyable, yet, they remain fairly open when playing clean. Sound

Condition: Near mint with only the faintest signs of use. Frets and electronics are perfect.

The 16" body really takes the 335-esq SoCo model into jazzier territory and should be at the top of the list for anyone looking for a jazz-leaning guitar without going with a full archtop (read: a guitar that is at home in jazz settings and other genres). Priced with original hardshell case.
