Southwell A-Series Special Edition Classical (2008)

English luthier, Gary Southwell, has been building guitars since 1983. With a lengthy waiting list and a high-profile clientele, it's a thrill to have one of his guitars in the shop. The A Series blends the old and the new in an entirely unique way.  Taking his inspiration from the Viennese building style, Gary has incorporated an adjustable neck system based on Stauffer instruments (many early Martins also have this system). This allows the player to make quick and easy adjustments to the action without having to remove or modify the saddle. This particular model features a European spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, figured maple neck and old-world peghead scarf joint. Visually striking, the tone of this guitar is remarkable and meets the exacting demands of the modern player with exceptional power, wide dynamic range, balance and sensitivity. Overall near mint condition, with hard case. On consignment.
