Martin 00-45 (1905)

It's great to have this 1905 Martin 00-45 in stock -- it's a very early style-45 guitar (it may even be the first one), made just after their ten thousandth instrument, yet the beauty of pre-war Martin craftsmanship is evident in every detail. The guitar has seen its fair share of repair work over the years, yet still sounds wonderful ~ dry, warm and round-noted, it's everything a great Brazilian 00 should be. Older refinish, two lengthy repaired top cracks (glued inside the guitar) and new stone bridge made by the Martin Custom Shop. Five original bridge pins remain, and they're included with the guitar though not currently installed. Back and sides of Brazilian Rosewood, and very fine spruce soundboard, with a nut width just shy of 1 7/8". If you're easily excited about old Martin guitars (and we sure are), it's a thrill just to hold this instrument and play it for a while. A great-sounding and highly collectible guitar. With modern hard case.
