Collings CJ Torrefied Adirondack & Birdseye Maple Honey Amber Sunburst

Out of Stock

Stop the presses. This highly customized Collings CJ features a set of Birdseye Maple back and sides the likes of which we've never seen before. Finding pieces of Birdseye Maple big enough for small guitar backs is hard enough -- let alone something with the kind of figure seen here large enough for a dreadnought. We've added a torrefied Adirondack Spruce top for maximum warmth, power and responsiveness; and the results are breathtaking. Let's forget about the wood's cosmetic beauty for a second (if possible) and talk about sound. No one who's had an issue with maple guitars in the past is going to turn their nose up at this one. Want sparkle? Depth of tone? Clarity? You won't do better. And with the Birdseye Maple mandolins we get from Collings, the projection and snap are in a league of their own (the sound seems to rocket out of this guitar).

This one-of-a-kind Collings is priced with their new handmade, vintage-style hard case. Please call if you'd like and in-hand description!
