Collings CJ Mahogany Adirondack Varnish (2011)

Sold

Description

Insanely great-sounding, highly customized Collings CJ just into the shop for consignment! This guitar has us swooning for Collings' varnish finish all over again, as the sound is undeniably richer and more open than a lacquered counterpart (and that ambery patina it gives a sunburst is downright sumptuous). This is a pretty decorated guitar, considering the impetus is clearly "vintage inspired slope D" -- but it all comes together beautifully. Overall condition is near mint -- even for a varnish guitar, which can be bit more susceptible to wear and tear, this thing is really clean. Fat, open, penetrating sound when strummed or flatpicked, and a beautiful lush sound with great fundamental when played fingerstyle. If you've been waiting for a special Collings CJ to come along, call us quickly. Priced with its original TKL hard case!

On consignment.
