Red Diamond Vintage A (2007)

Out of Stock

Description

Killer-sounding Red Diamond Vintage A made in 2007. Figured Maple back, sides and neck, Red Spruce top, hide glue construction, ebony bridge and fretboard, and "Flowerpot" peghead inlay. This mandolin was originally part of a very prominent bluegrass family, before it was acquired by its current owner. Although it's been played regularly for the last ten years, it's still in excellent condition and bears no structural shortcomings whatsoever. There's one small area of dull finish on the back from a Tone Gard (but when your Tone Gard is placed on the mandolin, that'll disappear). Sonically, this is as dry and throaty an A-style mandolin as you're likely to come across, with tremendous power and "roundness" to the note. A very lightweight instrument! If you've been waiting to get into the Red Diamond sound at a more attainable price point, this mandolin should be at the top of your wish list. Priced with TKL rectangular hard case.
