Martin HD-28 (1977)

Description

Exceptional-sounding 1977 Martin HD-28 just into the shop! The HD-28 was introduced in 1976 as a sort of "return to form" using the great herringbone dreadnoughts of the 1930's as inspiration. Aside from the herringbone top purling, these guitars are scallop-braced, giving them a huge, booming sound when compared to any other 1970's Martin dread. This guitar is the cleanest and best-sounding example we've had in the shop. All-oriingal, but for added strap button and replacement bridge pins. Setup with medium gauge strings for bluegrass & flatpicking. Indian Rosewood back & sides, Sitka Spruce top, 1 11/16" nut width, 25.4" SL, and a nice full-feeling neck. With new Martin thermoplastic case.

On consignment. Expedited shipping only at online checkout. Please contact us for ground shipping options.
