Martin 0-17 (1934)

Sold

Description

Very clean, great sounding prewar Martin 0-17 just into the shop! The guitar has replaced tuners, a repaired top crack and a well-done neck set in its repair history, but it's otherwise good to go. The original finish is in great condition and mostly free of the typically-seen crazing we associate with an 80 year old guitar. There are some bubbling marks (see photos) that look like the result of an old naugahyde strap reacting with the lacquer. A very warm, dry sounding guitar that's perfect for anyone interested in country blues and old-time backup. Mahogany top, back & sides. Brazilian Rosewood bridge & fingerboard. 1 3/4" nut width, 24.9" SL, 2 5/16" string spacing. Priced with Harptone-style hard case.

On consignment.
