Ellis F5 Tradition

The new, limited-production F5 "Tradition" model from Ellis Mandolins is a fantastic tribute to the looks and tone of the legendary Lloyd Loar F5s from the early 1920s. These instruments feature torrefied Red Spruce tops and a Shellac finish, which provide a warm, open sound, with the dryness and response bluegrass mandolin players demand. The F5 Tradition is tastefully appointed with vintage-style Ellis script logo and peghead inlay. TME is happy to offer the first F5 Tradition, and we invite you to hear our friend, Ethan Setiawan, playing it over at the video tab! This instrument is upgraded with hand-picked, beautifully figured maple back and sides and a Calton Case.
