PRS 408 Eriza Verde 10 Top (2012)

Sold

Description

This PRS 408 in a striking Eriza Verde finish (10 top), is an extremely resonant and lively guitar that reminds us a bit of the PRS instruments of old.  The playability is exactly what you'd expect: flawless fretwork with fast, comfortable action, and a near-perfect setup. It simply feels awesome to play and we found ourselves running tricky licks and chord work with ease. The neck carve as a nice, chunky carve, somewhat reminiscent of a Collings I-35 or City Limits.

Tonally, it sounds fantastic. Versatility is the word of the day here, though it must be noted that it never trades "more sounds" for "good sounds." All available tones, of which there are technically 8, sound great (see quote from PRS site below)!

An awesome guitar that's sure to please PRS fans! Priced with original hardshell case.

Specs

  • From the PRS site: PRS 408 pickups were designed to extend the guitar’s tonal spectrum by narrowing the field of the bass pickup to increase its focus and widening the field of the treble pickup to increase its sound field (hence their asymmetric appearance). This pickup configuration (comprised of four coils and offering eight sounds) stems back to Paul’s experimentation on the Sorcerer’s Apprentice guitars in the early 1980’s. Thanks to the simple but versatile switching system featuring mini-toggle switches that provide numerous combinations of humbucking and singlecoil tones, the 408 provides stunning articulation and musical clarity.
