Product information

It is hard to imagine a louder, clearer, better-built mandolin anywhere in this price range than the Collings MT2.

Although the elegance of an F-style mandolin is hard to overlook, there is something magical about a well-crafted A that make them hard to pass up. As always, Collings is using superb materials on these instruments -- flamed maple back, select Adirondack spruce tops with tone-bar bracing, all carved to exacting standards. Even the adjustable ebony bridges are crafted at the Collings shop, as is the tailpiece (Bill's own design).

We ordered this MT2 with the optional 1 3/16" wide nut option, perfect for guitar players looking to get into mandolin, or anyone who desires a hair more real estate under their left hand. We also had Collings finish this one in their vintage-inspired Cremona Sunburst finish, and we think the result is a real knockout! Priced with TKL hardshell case.
